EVI-GTI Berlin 2016 and new hardware released

EMTD attended the EVI-GTI meeting in Berlin at the end of September. Here we gave an update on the problems of developing Blade Health Monitoring (BHM) for aerospace applications. We are seeing great interest for this form of technology especially from the power generation industry.

EMTD launched a call for partners for a proposal under the Horizon 2020 programme and we now have had sufficient interest to begin the process of submission. We have tied up with a major power generation business in Europe in creating the proposal.

Our links with University of Manchester PhD programme is beginning to show signs of progress and we are now participating in a second round of measurement research. Further afield we are forging links in South Africa for the future development of the Blade Tip Timing technology.

One of our strengths is in providing a measurement consultancy service to help companies new to the advances in measurement choose the correct technology for the task and to manage their expectations. Unlike many turn-key suppliers EMTD intend to equip end users with the knowledge to apply and develop instrumentation with their own resource if required.

We have now begun shipping our networked BTT data acquisition system and MultiTool software to selected customers. Our next training course will take place in Shanghai week commencing 26th November 2016
